This may be the result of an problematic Add-on or plugin that runs from inside the browser.  Here are two potential workarounds:


1. Run IE in No Add-ons mode:


=> Start | (All) Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet Explorer (No add-ons)


2. Reset IE Settings to default


(From within IE) Tools | Internet Options | Advanced Tab | Reset



Whenever the Internet Explorer stops working, click the 'View problem details' button on the popup message and paste the details in a reply to the Help Desk.  This will help us diagnose the exact cause of the problem.
